Pink & Green Nursery Nest

What could be sweeter than a nursery based around a gorgeous pink backdrop with complementary subtle green hues as the accent? Take a nursery crafted up by our talented Design Consultant Kayla, focused on smooth, clean lines and creamy, dreamy colors.

Is Pink & Green in the nursery of your dreams? Or do you prefer another set of complementary hues for your lovely nursery nest?

Designing for Duos

Designing a nursery for twins is double the fun! It can also be challenging to fit twice the sleeping space and storage into a small spot. If your nursery is on the small side, choose a crib that conserves space like a spindle crib or iron crib. Go ahead and invest in the bigger pieces (armoire, glider, bookcases) as these items will grow with your children.

Create a palette you love and give each baby a color of their own. Most twins like to maintain a sense of individuality as they grow up. And remember that everything does not have to be pink or blue! Try incorporating shades of orange, purple and green. Grey is also a great gender-neutral color that pairs well with creamy whites and metallic silvers.

Whether formal, whimsical, themed or casual, adding decorative pieces establishes the tone of the room. A themed chandelier, wall stickers or even a carrot dresser add a fun flair to your space. For walls that wow, consider a mural or group several smaller pieces together to create a pattern on the wall.

Since you’ll spend a lot of time in this seat, one of the most important nursery decisions is the glider or rocker. A slip covered glider is a practical option since you can easily wash and switch out the fabric. Solid velvet gliders are popular for their versatility and can easily be used in another room in the future. Many contemporary gliders are also now available in easy-cleaning white vinyl or leather with nail head trim. Just don’t wait too long to make this purchase so you have ample time to select the perfect seat!

If you’re still in the dark about where to begin, PoshTots is now featuring six nurseries designed with your dynamic duo in mind.

Posh Wedding!

Congratulations are in order to our talented web merchandiser Ashley and her new strapping beau Stephen, who tied the knot this past Saturday. Take a peek at a few of their gorgeous wedding photos by Ty Johnson Photography of Richmond, VA.

One thing we adore about the beautiful bride is her stunning style and quirky creativity, just another of the numerous reason she fits in so well with our Posh family.

Congratulations to Ashley and Stephen, we wish you a marriage that is as lovely and perfect as your special day!

Happy Grandparents Day!

This Sunday is National Grandparents Day. There’s a special place in many children’s hearts for the grandparent who let them have that second late-night serving of ice cream without telling Mom and Dad about breaking the rules. What kind of gift do you get a great grandparent? While you can show appreciation with a plaster handprint, a handmade card or photos of the grandchildren, the best gift is always time together! Perhaps an impromptu game of Monopoly, a walk around the block or reading a great book together is in order? Tell us what you and your children are doing to celebrate Grandparents Day!

A Cinderella Story

Pop star, bubbly actress and style-icon Hilary Duff recently announced her first pregnancy with her hockey player hubbie, Mike Comrie. We are tickled pink dreaming about what sort of elegant nursery she will concoct. We’re thinking it will be a lovely posh princess, with luxurious furnishings and sweet decor. See what we mocked up for her future nursery below.

If our gender predictions are wrong, what posh products do you think her little prince should inherit?
